Lemon Buttercream Frosting

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)

  • 3 cups confectioners sugar

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1 lemon (juice and zest)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine butter, sugar and salt and beat until combined

  2. Add lemon juice and vanilla and continue to beat for another 3 to 5 minutes or until creamy

  3. Optional: for lemon buttercream frosting, add lemon juice with vanilla and fold in zest at the end
